Emergency Power Supply for SafeLight and M-Flex

The Emergency Light Module for SafeLight and M-Flex provides emergency lighting for up to 1 + 1 hour during power outages.

When the power goes out, this module seamlessly switches to battery power, illuminating the LED light at 10% of its original brightness. Built for versatility, the unit is approved for use in both dry and damp environments, and with a fully charged battery, it offers 1 + 1 hour of reliable emergency lighting. After 1 hour, the device will automatically shut off. In the event of another power outage, it can be reactivated for an additional hour. Regular battery testing is recommended.

Installation

This emergency module is compatible exclusively with our M-Flex 3K, M-Flex 4K, SafeLight 3K, SafeLight 4K or SafeLight ECO LED strips. It can be mounted securely to any surface. For optimal performance, charge the module separately for at least 12 hours before initial use.

Charging

The module’s battery charges automatically when connected to power. It doesn’t require the LED strip to be connected for charging. If the module overheats, stop charging, disconnect the LED strip, and let the battery cool down before continuing.

Storage

To extend the life of your module, avoid contact with corrosive substances and keep it away from heat or fire. The battery should be charged before storage, and do not store it with a depleted battery. The recommended storage temperature is between 0 and 30°C.

Transport

Handle the emergency light module with care during loading, unloading, and transit. Do not transport it with flammable or explosive materials, nor with sharp metal objects.

Maintenance

When replacing the battery, always disconnect the power. For optimal performance, charge the battery every six months.

LED Indicator

The module is equipped with an LED indicator that provides status updates:

  • Solid red light: Charging
  • Solid green light: Fully charged
  • Flashing green (1Hz): Power disconnected – Emergency function in operation
  • Flashing green (3Hz): Monthly self-check status
  • Flashing green (5Hz): Annual self-check mode
  • Flashing red: System error – Service required

If the emergency function is active and the green light goes out, the battery is empty.

Warnings

  • Do not submerge the unit in water.
  • Keep the unit away from fire or heaters.
  • Do not attempt to modify the unit.
  • Avoid placing the unit in pressure chambers or exposing it to microwaves.
  • If the unit emits a strong odor, generates heat, becomes discolored, deforms, or behaves unusually, disconnect it immediately and stop use.
  • Discharge the battery before recycling. Never dispose of it with lead-acid batteries; consult your local recycling center if unsure.
  • Keep the battery out of reach of children and pets.
